Small businesses are very clear in what they expect from their banks to win and retain their business. Achieving this requires continued investment and a greater focus on the ways in which customer needs are evolving. Over time, the number of businesses likely to switch FIs has risen, and customer loyalty has declined.

This report explores the top 10 areas small businesses would like to see their primary FIs invest in during 2024. It is based primarily on the results of a Q1 2024 Datos Insights online survey of 1,004 U.S.-based small businesses.
