API Security Solutions: Customer Perspectives

Client perspectives anonymously share API security sentiment from those on the frontlines protecting against API attacks.
/

Solution maturity is high, but vendors lag in operational maturity including training and customer support. Customers recognize that API security approaches are rapidly evolving, with most keeping an eye out for better mousetrap including broader API traffic visibility, and cost value. Without exception, however, customers voice a high degree of concern over the threat represented by unprotected APIs within their enterprise.

This report, the last in a four-part series on API security, aggregates API security solution experience shared by CISOs, product engineers, and technology managers, providing a 360-degree perspective of solution efficacy. It is based on 12 interviews with customers of API security solutions conducted from April to June 2023 in the U.S., Canada, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as a Datos Insights survey of 221 CISOs serving large and midsize banks and merchants in five geographical regions across eight countries.
