Sang Lee serves as a Special Advisor at Datos Insights. Previously, Sang was a Managing Partner and co-founder of Aite Group. Sang's expertise lies in the capital markets vertical, and he has advised many global financial institutions, software and hardware vendors, and professional services firms in sell-side and buy-side electronic trading technology, market structure, and emerging technologies.
Sang has been quoted extensively in the media, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Financial Times, Business Week, Newsday, CBS MarketWatch, and Investor's Business Daily. Prior to founding Aite Group, Sang was a founding member of Celent Communications and served as the Manager of the securities and investments and operations groups. At Celent, Sang played a pivotal role in creating and growing one of the leading securities and investments practices in the financial services research industry. Prior to Celent, Sang served as a Business Strategist for ZEFER, an industry-leading internet professional services firm in Boston. At ZEFER, Sang formulated internet business strategies for Fortune 1000 clients. He also worked for D.E. Shaw Financial Technology, where he was responsible for business development and marketing; conducted market research and competitive analysis as well as spearheaded partnership programs; and played an instrumental role in the sale of D.E. Shaw to Merrill Lynch.
Sang holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.A. from Columbia University. He is fluent in English and Korean, and he is desperately trying to become fluent in Japanese.
