U.S. E-Bill Adoption: Hitting a Plateau

Companies have made strides in driving e-bill adoption, but growth has been somewhat stagnant.
/

Boston, December 1, 2021 – While paper bills have been on the decline over the last decade, only about half of bills are delivered in electronic (e-bill) format today. The reality of so many bills being delivered in paper format has big implications for billers. Not only are paper bills expensive, but billers also miss the opportunity to strengthen relationships and drive profitability through regular digital touch points.

This Impact Report analyzes billing activity by biller category and bill format and specifically examines generational behaviors associated with billing. It is based on a Q2 2020 Aite Group survey of 3,039 U.S. consumers.

This 37-page Impact Report contains nine figures and 10 tables. Clients of Aite-Novarica Group’s Retail Banking & Payments service can download this report and the corresponding charts.

This report mentions Mint.com, MyCheckFree.com, and Quickbooks.
