April 12, 2023 – Micro, small, and midsize enterprises (MSMEs) have historically relied on only essential cyber protection. They are not reluctant to invest; rather, they insist cybersecurity vendors provide demonstratable value before laying down hard-earned cash.
In this research, sponsored by Mastercard, Aite-Novarica Group reveals how MSMEs really feel about cybersecurity, what is in their investment coffers, and what kept them up at night. Aite-Novarica Group learned firsthand the types of security precautions, primary concerns, and buying habits of MSMEs by interviewing 1,560 MSME companies in seven geographical regions across 24 countries. Surveyed MSMEs represented 13 industries and were well established, having been in business for generally over five years.
