Account Manager

Location: US (remote), Midwest or East Coast preferred

Datos Insights is seeking an Account Manager to join our growing Sales & Client Service team and work closely with our financial services institutional clients, initially supporting our wealth management clients. As an Account Manager, you will help grow Datos Insights’ wealth management business by retaining and expanding scope with existing clients, coordinating client service activities, and growing the wealth management client base with net-new accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve quota
    • Manage and renew contracts – approximately 40 accounts
    • Prospect potential new clients and opportunities. Run sales cycles to generate new subscription and consulting revenue, as well as market sizing/share report sales
  • Achieve activity targets for new sales interactions and client lifecycle touchpoints
  • Create and facilitate broad and deep client and prospect engagement. Create and maintain engagement plans and promote new services, including research
    • Onboard new clients and ensure they are set up for success with a calendar of regular engagement
    • Analyze engagement and usage information to minimize retention risk and promote new growth opportunities
    • Plan and participate in client calls and meetings, add notes to the CRM, and coordinate follow up on any action items. Create and edit presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and meeting materials, as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and account management activity, forecasting data, and client data in the CRM
  • Run crisp business management practices. Participate in a cadence of forecasting and account planning on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. Prepare for and participate in internal account management calls to apprise management of client status

Desired experience and capabilities include:

  • Unwavering goal attachment – Track record of growth and overachievement on goals or quotas is a must-have
  • 5-10 years of B2B business development and client management
  • Experience in the wealth management (or broader financial services) industry, selling to Finance or other senior executives, and a subscription-based sales model are a strong plus
  • The ability to engage and communicate with C-level and senior leadership within client organizations
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • English fluency, a bachelor’s degree and a willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
