Jay started his career in capital markets as a project manager and developer in the financial futures department, specializing in S&P 500 program trading arbitrage. He designed and built electronic program trading interfaces at Salomon Brothers, later acquired by Citi Group, and then worked on prime brokerage, security finance, fixed income, and commodity projects.
Jay was head of North America fixed income funding technology at UBS for a decade before becoming a research analyst at Gartner. Ever since, Jay has combined his financial industry knowledge and technical experience with research and advisory work from Celent and Tabb Group. Now at Datos Insights, his focus is across capital markets, both sell-side and buy-side.
Jay holds a BFA from Cooper Union, a BA from Saint Lawrence University, and an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business. Additionally, Jay is Series 7 certified with FINRA.
