August 17, 2022 – Responding to the changing dynamics of fraud requires constant vigilance of control frameworks and frequent updates to those frameworks. And the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy and the job market has resulted in an unprecedented number of people quitting their jobs. Hiring is difficult, but fraud executives face an even larger challenge in the current environment in finding candidates with the requisite fraud skill sets to backfill open positions.

This report looks at what keeps fraud executives up at night, including the trends and top fraud management challenges they face, the impact of scams, how firms respond to requests for reimbursement, and how they manage their staffing challenges. It is based on an Aite-Novarica Group survey of 18 fraud executives at financial services firms in North America in Q2 2022.

This 21-page Impact Report contains nine figures and one table. Clients of Aite-Novarica Group’s Fraud & AML service can download this report and the corresponding charts.
