Wally Okby is a Strategic Advisor for Datos Insights’ Wealth Management practice. He is a thought leader and trusted advisor to leading global clients across North America and EMEA, including alternative investment stakeholders, global private banks and wealth managers, portfolio management and reporting vendors, core private banking technology providers, ESG rating agencies and specialized data providers, and socially responsible investment and philanthropic platforms.

He has covered the offshore private banking space for 10 years while living in Luxembourg and Dubai. His mandate was to provide hands-on investor relations as well as private banking and wealth management solutions to ultra-high-net-worth and family offices in emerging markets. Wally’s work was executed across global jurisdictions, such as Zurich, Geneva, Singapore, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, London, and New York.

Upon returning to the U.S. in 2018, Wally was Vice President of Investor Relations for Capital Good Fund, a Providence-based nonprofit microlender. Prior to that, Wally was a Senior Director for Société Générale Private Bank (Luxembourg), Vice President and Senior Private Banker for Citi Private Bank, and Head of Private Banking at AIG (Falcon) Private Bank in Dubai. Between 1993 and 2008, Wally held research, strategy, and consulting roles at other top-tier global asset management and financial institutions in New York, including Morgan Stanley, Prudential Financial, BlackRock, and AIG Investments. Wally was also Head of Investor Relations and Distribution for Eureeca.com, the world’s first globally licensed crowdfunding market (U.K., Malaysia, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates).

Wally holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from State University of New York at Albany and an MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
