Robert is a Strategic Advisor in the Commercial Banking & Payments practice at Datos Insights, bringing more than 27 years of experience across the U.S. payments ecosystem, including Instant Payments, ACH, Wire, Check Services, and Cash Operations. He specializes in payment system modernization, product strategy, and operational transformation, advising financial institutions, fintechs, and industry stakeholders on the evolving landscape of real time payments and next generation payment infrastructure. His expertise spans the full payments value chain, from operational workflows and regulatory considerations to processor roles, data structures, and industry pricing dynamics.

During his 20 years in product management within Federal Reserve Financial Services, Robert guided strategy, execution, and cross functional leadership for multiple national payment services. As a founding member of the FedNow product team, he shaped early stage product architecture, drafted business and technical requirements, managed RFP development, and helped build the initial team responsible for launching the nation’s newest payment rail. He also designed and deployed pricing strategies and new product features for ACH that increased revenue contribution to more than 11% of the product portfolio within five years.

Robert revitalized a national payments analytics service by doubling adoption and utilization within three years and brought to market patented ACH operator risk services that ultimately generated $1.6M in annual revenue. His operational leadership includes managing the secure relocation of a Federal Reserve cash operation, coordinating the transfer of currency with zero audit findings. He also developed applications enabling ACH processing on behalf of the U.S. Treasury Department, strengthening operational efficiency and capability.

Robert has spent more than a decade contributing to industry workgroups, facilitating collaborative problem solving, shaping pilots and frameworks, and supporting the publication of industry papers. He is an accomplished presenter and recognized as a subject matter expert advising senior stakeholders across the payments industry.

Robert holds both a B.A. and M.S. in Decision Sciences from Georgia State University. He holds a Product Development Certificate from Northwestern. Outside of work, he is an avid hiker with a growing passion for via ferratas, enjoying the challenge, exposure, and technical precision of vertical mountain routes.
