Alina Basu

Manager, Research Design & Data

Alina Basu is a Manager of the Research Design & Data team (Datos Insights’ quantitative research team), in which capacity she collaborates with Analysts to develop various surveys, programs and tests the surveys, cleans the data and preps it for data analysis, and analyzes the data in various statistical software or analysis tools. Alina also performs quality checks, identifies flaws in programming and/or fraud, and reviews reports prior to publishing to ensure accurate representation of statistics.
Before joining Datos Insights, Alina worked for six years at a private company from Romania, where she mainly collaborated with public institutions and supported the elaboration of strategies for development of different cities or regions from Romania. Overall, she has 15 years of professional market research experience within industries ranging from financial services to manufacturing, e-commerce, and real-estate. Alina has a deep understanding of market research, consumer behavior, and industry trends.
Alina holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Institutional Management and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University lasi Romania. Alina also deepened her sociology studies at the University of Konstanz, Germany, and is a member of the Neuromarketing Science & Business Association.
