Strategic Advisor, Cybersecurity Practice

Location: US, Remote

Datos Insight’s Cybersecurity Practice provides research and advisory services to chief information security officers (CISOs) focused on protecting their companies’ enterprise assets. Our advisors have deep technical acumen in cybersecurity and experience communicating IT risk to boards and CISOs across the financial services, including financial institutions and insurers.

As a Strategic Advisor, you will be a thought leader and trusted advisor to financial institutions, insurers, established security technology vendors, startups, and venture capital firms. You will provide actionable recommendations to our customers by producing research papers, interacting with clients, and leading consulting engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Datos Insights’ research process including identification of key topics, primary and secondary research, and identification of best-in-class solutions
  • Interview executives and industry experts to identify their most pressing challenges, discover best practices, and develop insightful analysis
  • Produce high-quality research reports monthly
  • Provide ongoing support to the financial institutions and security technology vendors that subscribe to the Cybersecurity Practice
  • Partner with the sales team to identify and pursue business opportunities
  • Meet performance goals for content production, advisory, consulting, and client support
  • Participate in and speak at industry events to drive awareness of the practice and represent our thought leadership

 

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in cybersecurity at a financial institution, technology vendor, industry analyst firm, or management consultancy
  • Experience and desire for continued learning within security operations, API security, web access and API protections (WAAP), BOT management, attack surface management (ASM), and managed detection and response (MDR)
  • Proficiency in technology and business strategies
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated quantitative analysis skills, including the ability to formulate original analyses and actionable recommendations
  • Fluent in English (fluency in additional languages is always welcome)
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
