Datos Insights is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance team. This role reports to Datos’ Controller and is critical in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional, eager to grow their accounting skills and contribute to a dynamic Finance team.

Responsibilities:
- Billing & Collections: Oversee invoicing processes and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable; manage customer accounts and resolve billing issues.
- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, manage payment cycles, and ensure timely disbursements.
- Expense Management: Review, analyze, and monitor employee expenses to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Cash Management: Monitor daily cash balances, prepare cash forecasts, and support liquidity management.
- Commissions: Calculate and process commission payments in accordance with compensation plans.
- Month-End Close: Assist with journal entries, accruals, and other month-end activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Audit Assistance: Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Required experience and capabilities include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency with financial software (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Avarala, Ramp)
- Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
